Massage for tight shoulders in Highlands Ranch
For a tight neck and shoulders, book deep tissue for firm, Swedish for lighter, or trigger point for one spot.
Pick the service by pressure
- For firm pressure, deep tissue and sports massage, listed as Sports / Deep Tissue. It uses stronger pressure, with extra attention where you ask.
- For lighter work, Swedish massage: long strokes and kneading at light to medium pressure.
- For one spot, such as a knot you can point to, trigger point massage: focused pressure and release.
What to tell the therapist
Say where first: neck, tops of the shoulders, between the shoulder blades. Then say how firm you want it. If you'd like most of the session on your neck and shoulders, say that at the start.
Mention what you do, too, whether that's desk work, lifting or a long drive. Speak up mid-session if you want the pressure lighter or stronger.
Neck and shoulder massage questions
Will it be firm enough?
Deep tissue is our firmer option. Tell the therapist how firm you like it before you start, and ask for more or less at any point.
Can the whole session focus on my shoulders?
You can ask. Name the areas you want most of the time on when the session begins. The 60 or 90 minute guide helps with length.
What if I have an injury?
Check with a healthcare professional before you book. A massage appointment doesn't replace medical advice.
