What is trigger point massage?

Trigger point massage is focused pressure and release on one tight spot.

At Wonder Spa it's its own service, so the time goes where you point.

What a session is like

Tell your therapist where you feel tight and how much pressure is comfortable. You can point to the spot or describe the general area.

The therapist presses, then releases, and the work alternates. If it gets too intense, ask for less pressure or a pause.

If an injury or health condition has you unsure about massage, check with a healthcare professional before you book.

How it differs from deep tissue

Trigger point stays on one area. Deep tissue and sports massage uses firm pressure across a wider area, such as your whole back and shoulders.

If it's one spot you want worked, book trigger point; if it's a broad area at firm pressure, book deep tissue. The trigger point massage page has the service details.
